The governor of Cross River State came to visit our company.
Speaking of Cross River State, we really need to spend some time knowing and understanding it. As a state in South Nigeria, bordering Cameroon to the east. Its capital is Calabar, and name derived from the Cross River (Oyono), there are many things worth talking about. Today we are happy to meet the governor. From him, we have learnt a new Cross River State.

Festivals
There are many festivals in line with the objectives of the former Governor of the state. These festivals bring in tourists from far and wide into the state to enjoy themselves and also do business in the state. These festivals include The Cross River State Christmas Festival, which promises to be an event that will rival any festival events in Africa, with over 30 days of endless fun, carnival, games, cultural display, art exhibition, pageant and music performance.
Christmas Festival – 1 December to 31 December annually
Carnival Float – 26th and 27th December yearly
The Yakurr Leboku Yam festival – 28 August annually
The Calabar Boat Regata
Another Interesting Festival in cross River state is Anong Bahumono Festival which holds in Anong Village, during which different cultural dances are showcased, including Ikpobin (acclaimed to be the most entertaining dance in the state), Ekoi, Obam, Emukei and Etangala Dances.
Agriculture
Cross River benefits from its vast arable land and plentiful rainfall which makes for a state conducive to cultivation. Agricultural produce is the leading non-oil revenue contributor to the State's economy and employs at least 70 percent of the State's labour force. Investment in infrastructure and modern inputs -fertilizer, seeds, tools and agro-chemicals -- would greatly improve the quality and quantity of agricultural output. Oil Palms, Rubber and Cocoa are Cross River's major cash crops. A predicted steady and relatively high international cocoa price and potential to improve productivity makes cocoa farming an attractive investment prospect. Cross River's forests are a source of high quality oil palm, rubber and cashews. All are found in commercial quantities.
Today we are hornored to meet the governor of Cross River State, and we sincerely hope to cooperate with friends old and new from Nigeria. Let's hand in hand create a bright future!
